Our Founder
Little Lumos Preschool in Siddharth Nagar, Kakinada was founded by Dr. K. Lakshmi Lalithya, who serves as principal and academic head. She believes early childhood education should nurture curiosity, creativity, and confidence — with a vision inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy.

Dr. K. Lakshmi Lalithya is the founder and principal of Little Lumos Preschool, a Reggio Emilia–inspired preschool in Siddharth Nagar, Kakinada. As academic head, she leads the school's learning philosophy and creates a nurturing environment where children feel safe to explore ideas, ask questions, and develop confidence through joyful discovery.

Our preschool is nurtured in the cherished home of Late Sri. M R Eswara Rao and Late Smt. Sugunavathi whose warmth and legacy continue to inspire this learning space.
They were a great support to their children & grandchildren, a constant source of guidance and inspiration in their own ways.
Today, each new generation of students who learn and grow within their home stands as a living tribute to their spirit. A legacy that continues to honor their passion for learning and enduring belief in the transformative power of education.

Who runs Little Lumos Preschool in Kakinada?

Little Lumos is founded and led by Dr. K. Lakshmi Lalithya, who serves as Founder and Principal and academic head. She was recognised as a National Youth Parliamentarian for Andhra Pradesh in 2022 and 2023.
What training do the teachers have?

Our educators are trained in early childhood practice and specifically in the Reggio Emilia approach, which asks a teacher to observe and document rather than simply instruct. That is a different skill from conventional classroom teaching.
How many children does each teacher look after?

We keep adult-to-child ratios low, because child-led inquiry only works when an educator can actually notice what each child is investigating. We are happy to share current ratios for your child's age group on a campus visit.
Can I meet the teachers before enrolling?

Yes. We encourage it. Book a campus visit during working hours and you can meet the educators who would be working with your child, and see how they interact with the class.
