Why Camp 2 exists
Camp 1 Ended. The Parents Did Not Let Us Stop.
When Reggio Summer Camp 1 closed, we heard the same thing from parent after parent: "When is the next one?" Children came home talking about slime and clay and music. They asked to go back. Some cried when it ended. That kind of response does not let you stop.
So Camp 2 is here — and it is not a repeat. It is a deeper dive. New activities, a longer run (16 days versus the original), a full Atelier Day, a Sensory Field Trip that goes outside the campus entirely, and the Pool Party finale that children have been talking about since the day they heard it was coming. Every child who completes Camp 2 receives an official Certificate of Appreciation from Little Lumos.

Day 1: Welcome & Wall Art
The camp opens with colour and connection. Every child adds a handprint to a giant welcome mural in our Expressive Wall Art session — an artwork that grows throughout the entire camp. Morning circle, introductions and ice painting break the ice (literally). The room fills with laughter and the unmistakable energy of children discovering each other.

How Our Teaching Philosophy Shapes Every Day of Camp
Camp 2 is not a collection of activities slotted into a timetable. It is built on a philosophy. Tap each principle to understand how it shows up in the camp.
In Reggio Emilia, every child is seen as capable, curious and full of potential from birth. Camp 2 is not a place where teachers perform and children watch. Every session is designed so that the child leads — exploring, deciding, creating. Our teachers step back and let curiosity take the wheel.

5 Things to Tell Your Child Before Camp Starts
The way you frame the camp at home shapes how your child arrives on Day 1. Here are five conversation starters that work.
Frame it as an adventure, not a chore. Children aged 2–6 respond to novelty and excitement. Camp 2 is genuinely thrilling — pottery, slime, music, water play, treasure hunts. You are not overselling it.
